For this kind of price range, I can almost guarantee you to taste sour grapes for most red burgundies. Paul Aegerter produces wines in a very different style, I believe Paul picked his grapes much later into the harvest season, thus producing a ripe and forward style wine, which is more appealing than most premiere cru out there. Ripe cherry with a big fruity style. Content was ripe and forward, good layers. With time in the decanter for about an hour, it opened up even more!
